Sought after by film schools, the Krasnogorsk K3 Plus 16mm Movie Camera from Kiev/USA is a must for aspiring filmmakers of all ages. Choose from two levels of features to suit your needs: the spring-wound K3 Plus Standard or the motorized K3 Plus Sync II package.
Our expert technicians remanufacture the entire instrument for fast, efficient loading, and we mirror-finish all the parts that come in contact with the moving film stock. To you, this means a reliable instrument that is easy and fast to load, and is guaranteed not to harm your film stock in any way. This is why so many independent filmmakers, TV shows, and universities have switched to the Kiev/USA K3 Plus.

The Tobin Cinema System's crystal drive motor is installed on this model. The unit can be set to run locked at 12, 15, 24, 30, 48, or 60 frames per second (fps). 12, 15, 24, 30, and 60 fps are HMI compatible, allowing you to film under HMI lights, fluorescent tubes, or discharge-type street lights without flicker. This camera is not self-blimped.
Power is by a battery source of 12 VDC using the industry-standard XLR 4-pin power connector. Current drain is under 0.5 A. The motor drive unit itself is mounted to the lower right-hand side of the controls side of the camera, in the vicinity of the speed governance dial on the spring-wound unit. These cameras, which are converted to synchronous motor operation, do not have single-frame capability because they no longer have a spring motor.
